ELIXIR x NextGenerationIT

The WP A3.2 activity is focused on the implementation of a Genomic Platform for genomic, transcriptomic and metagenomic sequencing at medium throughput level to improve the understanding of molecular signatures and mechanisms of biological processes. The Genomic platform includes 1) Promega RSC Maxwell 48 for DNA/RNA extraction from different human, bacterial, animal samples (blood, cells, tissues, vesicles, biological fluids); 2) Hamilton NGS STARLet for library preparation from different types of nucleic acids samples (genomic DNA, amplicons, total RNA, mRNA, small RNA); 3) Agilent 4200 TapeStation, Invitrogen Qubit fluorometer and ThermoFisher Varioskan Lux for QC controls; 4) Illumina NextSeq 1000 for sequencing of whole exomes, small genomes, target regions, amplicons, tandem repeat polymorphisms and transcriptomes at gene-/transcript-level; 5) Oxford Nanopore PromethION P2Solo for sequencing of DNA/RNA ultra-long fragments starting from native DNA/RNA. The Platform provides service activities within different scientific collaborations.
