Aleksandra Sojic

Holds a Ph.D. from the European School of Molecular Medicine and the University of Milan, and a Philosophy degree from the University of Belgrade. Her dissertation project examined how clinical and molecular knowledge of breast cancer can be integrated by means of semantics and new technologies. She has been working on ontologies and modular architectures to support cross-domain knowledge integration and semantic interoperability, automation, personalised decision-making, evidence-based health condition assessment, disease prevention, and monitoring. She is interested in models for information-capturing via sensors and data Clouds. Her activities include metadata modelling, lecturing, scientific writing, strategic communication and networking to expand the institutional, academic and industry partnerships within epidemiological projects.

Digital health, knowledge integration and semantic interoperability, automation, personalised decision-making.
