Ivan Merelli is currently staff scientist at the Institute for Biomedical Technologies (ITB) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). In December 2003 he received a MsC in Biomedical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano and in February 2009 a PhD in Computer Science from the university of Milano - Bicocca. His research activities concern the bioinformatic analysis and integration of multi-omic datasets (bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, bulk ATAC-seq, scATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, GUIDE-seq, BAR-seq, RRBS, WGBS, WES, WGS) and more generally the management and development of infrastructures for treating data produced using high throughput technologies of molecular biology. He is the coauthor of more than sixty papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and more than sixty contributions in International Conference Proceedings.
