Molecular biologist with scientific interests in "omics" sciences. In 1996 he starts a scientific collaboration in bioinformatics with CNR Bari group, where he gain a considerable experience in the use of bioinformatics tools. From 2008 to 2014 he worked at the Institute of Germoplasm now the Institute of Biosciences and Bioresources (CNR-IBBR) of the CNR, with the role of bioinformatics manager developing the Mediterranean Germoplasm Database (MGD) for the management of the germplasm collection and molecular biodiversity data. In the 2014 he moved to the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (CNR-ITB) where study epigenetics where is involved the non coding RNA fraction (ncRNA) of the genome. Areas of interest : Molecular biology, study of the functional role of the non-coding RNA (ncRNA), XenoMiRs and cross talk of human plant miRNAs. Application of bioinformatics algorithms for functional and gene network analysis, development of bioinformatics pipelines in the main scripting languages for NGS data analysis. Integration of biological data through the use, design and design of relational databases.
